Opus Trust Marketing helps keep Leicester kids creative
June 2012
Leicester-based customer and employee communications specialist, Opus Trust Marketing, has donated a variety of stationery and other items to be used as art materials for local schools through Leicester City Council’s Scrap Store scheme this week.
Redirecting businesses’ unwanted materials into the community for play and education, the Scrap Store team collect anything from card and paper to fabric and labels from local businesses.
Loading their van with paper, sticky labels and cardboard from Opus Trust Marketing, Leicester City Council’s team have made several collections from Opus’ Scudamore Road site over the past few months.
“The Scrap Store is a fantastic scheme that we are more than happy to donate any spare stationery and materials to,” said Opus Trust Marketing’s Environmental Manager, Gill Rees.
“We aim to ensure that our excess materials are re-used or recycled, the Scrap Store is a great way for us to know that surplus materials are going into the local community where they can be put to good use. I am sure many of the recipients will make some wonderfully creative things with the paper, labels and card we’ve donated,” added Rees.
Opus Trust Marketing also donates surplus stock and office furniture to Leicester-based charity Giving World Online.
