OTM - First to be accredited as a RED TAG company

After rigorous testing, we’re delighted to announce that we are the first organisation to be accredited as a RED TAG® enabled, tested and monitored mail producing and sending company.

OTM has worked with Royal Mail to develop an in-house software capability to support their pilot of RED TAG®, an innovative mail tracking and reporting service for the critical document market. We chose to develop this in-house to allow total flexibility in supporting the increasing capabilities of this service as it evolves over time.

But what is RED TAG®? Well, in short, RED TAG® is a Royal Mail service which offers end-to-end reconciliation providing clients with daily updates on the whereabouts of any letter within Royal Mail’s mail processing system. By using RED TAG® with OTM, our customers will be able to monitor, predict and improve the performance of their critical and regulatory mail packs through the postal system and manage contact centre traffic more effectively fully knowing where the response packs are in the postal system.

OTM’s first use of RED TAG® was in the preparation and despatch of a project for the Pension Trustees of the Royal Mail Group. Now RED TAG® is used regularly by us, the first transactional mailing house in the UK to provide it, for the despatch of a variety of Royal Mail’s critical correspondence.
