OTM achieves Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC) certification
April 2010We are pleased to announce that OTM has achieved Chain of Custody status for the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC).
PEFC is an international non-profit, non-governmental organisation dedicated to promoting Sustainable Forest Management through independent third-party certification. It works throughout the entire forest supply chain to promote good practice in the forest and to ensure that timber and non-timber forest products are produced with respect for the highest ecological, social and ethical standards.
The certification process meant that we had to be audited by an independent, accredited certification body to prove that the PEFC International Chain of Custody requirements were being met.
Our success in achieving PEFC status shows that we have the necessary processes and controls in place to meet the increasing demands of our customers and, along with our ISO14001 certification and many other company environmental initiatives, clearly demonstrates our commitment to the environment.
